Ch Critter's Devils and Dust

We have a new champion at Critter whom we are very proud of. Congratulations to owner/handlers Peggy Holman and Milford Cole! Riley, Ch Critter's Devils and Dust, finished his championship by going BOB on 26 August 2006 under judge Stan Zielinski. Riley won a point on his first weekend out. He won his first 3 point major and BW at 6 months of age(top picture), his second 3 point major and BW at 9 months of age, and his third 4 point major and BW at 10 months of age. Riley was BOB over specials at Houma, LA at 11 months of age, on my birthday, 18 June 2006. He went on to place 4th in the Group under judge Bonnie Linnell Clarke. Riley won a Reserve BIS at the International show in New Orleans under judge Dr. Steve Keating. He has just begun his career. Good luck Riley and Rudy and Peggy and Milford.

 

Ch Moonrysn I Get Around

Harley now resides with Kim Hazelet and Chris Montross in Alabama. He is co-owned with them and Jan Friis and Jan Sutherland. Kim and Chris have taken Harley out a bit as a special, and he has done well. Harley won a Group 4 at Northlake KC of Gr. Covington in May and a Group 3 at Louisiana KC in June, owner handled.

Eddie is still going strong with Chris and Dale Kruzan. He won a BIS in Canada in early May 2006. Congratulations Eddie!

 

Ch Bluemoon Shea Stadium

Shea finished her championship at Northlake KC of Gr Covington LA on 5 May 2006 with a 4 point major. Shea is bred by Roe and Gordie Froman and co-owned by Kim Hazelet and Chris Montross and Janice Friis. Shea won the Open Bitch class at the 2006 CSCA National specialty.

 

Critter's Countin' On A Miracle

Diva won a 4 point major at Brazoria KC, 26 February 2006, and a 3 point major at Shreveport KC, 21 April 2006. At the CSCA National Specialty Regional show 24 March 2006, Diva was RWB. Diva won a 4 point major at Slidell Dog Fanciers show 4 May 2006.

Pop Tart won a 4 point major at her first show In Januarly 2006, and she was just 6 months old. She is pictured with her friend, Ellen Platt.

 

Ch Critter's The Unclouded Day

Chess won a 3 point major and BW at Nolan River KC, in early January 2006. Chess won another 3 point major and a 5 point major with BOB over specials at Alexandria KC in late January. She won a 4 point major and BOS in Louisiana to finish her championship 5 May 2006.

 

Ch Critter's I Haven't Got A Clue

Chloe came out of semi-retirement in April 2005 to finish her championship in Shreveport with two more 3 point majors, handled by Jan Sutherland. She is pictured with her family.

 

In the summer of 2004 we got two puppies from Jan and Lorin Sutherland, out of Ch Breakaway's Let's Party and Ch Moonrysn's Singin' In The Rain. They are Harley, Moonrysn's I Get Around, and Scout, Moonrysn's Surfer Girl. They were born during the National in 2004, and are named after Beach Boys songs.

Harley attended his first show in November at 6 months old and won a four point major and BOB shown by Jan Sutherland.

In January 2005 they both won 2 points at two shows for 4 points, with Scout going BOB.

In late January at 9 months of age Harley won another 3 point major. Scout took a break from showing.

In early February Harley won another 3 point major and Scout went BOB for a 3 point major.

In late February Scout won a puppy Group 4 and a 4 point major by going BW while Harley took a break from showing.

In early April 2005 Scout was BW for a 3 point major and Harley finished his championship from the puppy class with a 3 point major. In late April Scout finished from the puppy class with another 3 point major. Scout retired and lives in Dallas with Sally Robbins.

 

We had a new champion in 2004.

Izzy started off our year with a bang, by going Winners Bitch at American Spaniel Club, for a 5 point major. She finished with 3 majors. Izzy finished her championship with Cyndy on 20 March 2004. Izzy also became a tracking dog at her first trial! Izzy is out of Ch Bacchanal's Will Be Gruff and Ch Critter's With Every Wish. Congratulations co-owner/handler Cynthia Ebert! We are so proud of both of you and your first Clumber Champion, owner handled. And to top it all off, Izzy is OFA Fair

Lenny finished with his forth major 13 July 2003. He is pictured as a puppy going Best in Match. Thank you Otto Wahl for the photo! Lenny is co-owned with Milt and Barbara Hertel in Shoreview, MN. Lenny is out of Ch MacTyke's Forrest Gump and Ch Locksley Critter Tintagel, our Picabo.

 

Ch Critter's I Hope You Dance

Jenny is co-owned with Teresa Popham and Sue Randall in Charlotte, MI. Jenny finished her championship in 2003. Sorry, I don't have a picture. Jenny is also out of Ch MacTyke's Forrest Gump and Ch Locksley Critter Tintagel, our Picabo.

 

September 2002 - - Roller was WD, BW and BOB for a 3 point major at the Finger Lakes shows in NY, and followed this in the rain the next day with another 3 point major, his 3rd, to finish. Roller is OFA hips Fair and elbows Normal. Roller is owed by Debbie and Jim Uren and Janice Friis, bred by Janice Friis and Patty Kersey. Roller is out of Ch Mactyke's Forrest Gump and Ch Critter's Jubilation. Thank you Colleen Spangle for finishing our boy!

March 2002 CSCA National Specialty

We had a ball in Scottsdale. Critter Clumbers gave us a thrill in the ring. A special THANK YOU to Colleen and Fran Spangle for showing the dogs. It gave me time to relax and check out the competition. Congratulations to all the winners. And THANK YOU to Valana Wells and the committee that put on the National. You did a marvelous job. Here are some photos.

Waldo thrilled us with a Best Veteran in Veteran Sweeps! He showed his heart out and we heard lots of compliments on Fran's old man: Ch Critter's Book Of Dreams.

Kermit looked simply beautiful and thrilled us with an Award Of Merit! He too showed his heart out for Karen Black, and we had lots of compliments on Kermit. He is lovingly owned by Debbie and Rich Smith. Congratulations Kermit!: Ch Critter All Heaven Will Allow, OFA GOOD.

Jack won RWD at the CSCA National Specialty. His owner, Diane Quinlan, was thrilled. Jack finished his Championship 27 April 2002, handled by Leigh Ehrenkrantz!

Lily made my day when she won Winners Bitch, and later Best Of Winners. Her co-owner, Betty Baurle, was very excited to hear about this fabulous win. Fran gave Lily a new name for the trip - Chunky Monkey! That finished Lily's championship in style. Lily is hips OFA Good and elbows normal. Lily is out of Ch Breakaways We Shall Be Free and Ch Locksley Critter's Chequers.

Misty set the tone for the week on the trip out to AZ. She won the breed over Specials dogs and earned a 5 point major in MO. She topped this off with a Group 4! Thank you judges Richard Beauchamp and Jane Kay. Critter's Forever And Ever, Amen.

American Spaniel Club Highlights

The littermates Critter's Too Close To Call, Jack, and Critter's I Haven't Got A Clue, Chloe, had a great time at the first Clumber Spaniel Sweepstakes held at ASC. The judge was long-time Clumber Spaniel breeder, Charlotte Newton. Chloe was Best in Sweeps, owner handled, and Jack was BOS is Sweeps, breeder/owner handled. Chloe is co-owned with Michael Miller, and Jack is co-owned with Diane Quinlan. We all were thrilled with our kids' success.

Jack followed up his Sweeps success with WD and BW from the Bred-By-Exhibitor class under highly respected judge, Anne Rogers Clark.

Not to be undone, Kermit, Ch Critter All Heaven Will Allow, was Best Of Breed at ASC! Kermit is owned by Rich and Debra Smith, and beautifully shown by Karen.

Lily, Critter's Angel For You, had a blast in Canfield, Ohio this summer. She won 5 and 3 point majors and 2 points on the weekend. She followed this up with a bunch of single points, and needs a point to finish. Lily is owned by Betty Baurle and Janice Friis, and bred by Janice, out of Ch Breakaway's We Shall Be Free and Locksley Critter's Chequers. She is a joy to show.

Billie, Amer/Can Ch Critter's I'm On Fire, had lots of fun in June with Colleen Spangle. He won a Group 4 and Group 3. Better than that, he camped out with Colleen's kids and was in doggie heaven.

We are very proud of our Ginger, Amer/Can Ch Critter's Dancing in the Dark. Ginger won her Veteran class at the CSCA National Specialty in 2001! As always, Ginger was breeder/owner handled.

Misty, Critter's Forever and Ever, Amen, had a wonderful win at the CSCA National Specialty; BOS in Sweeps, under breeder/judge Jose Luis Martinez Correas. She is a beautiful puppy and we are very proud of her.

We are very proud of Dale and Edison, aka Critter's Electric Dreams. Eddy is now a Canadian Champion, finishing his title with a Group 2 and 4.

Eddy is by Ch Welladays Wagabond and Ch Locksley Critter Tintagel, and he is OFA Fair. Eddy is owned by Dale and Chris Kruzan, and co-owned by breeder Janice Friis.

Billie needs one point to finish his Canadian Championship. Picabo, Ch Locksley Critter Tintagel, was Winners Bitch at the show for 2 points, and her half sister, Locksley Critter's Chequers, was Reserve Winners Bitch from the puppy class and pulled second in the puppy sporting group.

Critter Clumber Spaniels had a wonderful time at the American Spaniel Club show.  Billie, Critter’s I’m On Fire, became a Champion from the Bred By Exhibitor Class, going Winners Dog and Best of Winners.  His mom, Ginger, Amer/Can Ch Critter’s Dancing In The Dark, was Best Of Breed, breeder/owner handled.  Duncan, Amer/Can Ch Critter’s Hungry Heart TD, CGC was Best Of Opposite Sex.  We are so proud of our kids’ accomplishments.
