CLUB MEMBER, PAT SCHULTZ
Is the 1999 winner of,
"SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN SEEK &
SEARCH CLUB'S"
FIND OF THE YEAR FOR
1999!
Classified as a small "Spear
Point" by the experts, it
measures 3.75 inches long. Generally
anything
shorter than 3 inches, is considered
an "arrowhead".
It is estimated to be 2 to 5
thousand years old!
Although this item is copper,
found in Michigan's
"Copper Country," the experts
say it is not the type
normally found in this area.
Like many prehistoric finds,
located in areas
far from what would normally
be considered
their proper location, this
may be further proof of the Bible's 'global flood' of Noah's day. This
would also
explain this projectile point's
unbroken condition. What
really makes this piece rare
is that it is intact!
Many projectile points were
lost or discarded because
they were broken in the hunt.
Perhaps the buoyancy
of the wooden handle carried
the spear to this
location?
Pat found the spear point on
September 8, 1999.
To deal with the highly mineralized
ground, she
was running a "Tesoro
Lobo Super Traq."
Because of its condition and
rarity, the value of
this item has been estimated
to be between
$400.00 and $650.00
