IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STRATOS.NET CUSTOMERS
ACTIVATING YOUR PERSONAL WEB-SPACE
- Log in to the My Account Control Panel.
- Read the System Policies page.
- Click the "I Accept..." button at the bottom of the page.
- You will be taken to a screen saying that your web space is being setup. It will take our system about 15 minutes to set up your web space.
VIEWING YOUR SITE ON THE INTERNET
Once your site is activated, people can access your pages at the address in this format:
http://my.core.com/~login
For example, if your username were "corecomm", you would replace "~login" in that address with "~corecomm" instead. It's just that simple.
Tip: You must include an index file in order to give out that address and have your front page automatically come up, or you'll need to specify the exact filename you want them to view.
FORMER STRATOS INTERNET INSTRUCTIONS
Your web space information is slightly different than that shown in the above paragraphs. If you have an E-Mail address that ends with @stratos.net, you should follow the steps outlined above using your @stratos.net E-Mail address. Once your site is activated, people can access your pages at the address in this format:
http://my.stratos.net/~login
